The research project "Virtual Museum: the implementation and use of ICT in optimizing science communication in the region of Brussels" focuses on 3 goals. First it seeks to optimize the existing science communication initiative 'Virtual Museum' of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and upgrade it to a larger audience. The second aim is to create an innovative digital tool, for teachers to use in the class room, but also for students and others, to use outside the class room. Third research is done concerning the possibilities to extend the Virtual Museum website to other mobile platforms, to obtain goals of 'embedded learning'.
